We mourn the passing of Henrietta Pierce on June 6. She was a lifelong resident of the Town of Cochecton and a pillar of the community throughout her life. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Have a look at a few events and activities in our community and locally:

Thank you to all who attended or donated to the Our Lady of the Lake Sausage and Pepper Luncheon—it was a sold-out success! Keep your mouths watering for next year! Congratulations to Raegan Vogler for winning the 50/50.

Unbroken Acres is holding their first annual Brunch Community Table on Sunday, June 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Unbroken Acres in Cochecton, NY. The cost is $40/per person and clipboard signups are at the farm stand for all events.

The Sullivan County Conservation Club in Ferndale, NY is holding its 2024 Bowhunter Youth Camp on Saturday, July 13 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, July 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Youth Bowhunter Camp is open to all youth ages 11 to 16 in DEC Region 3, which includes Sullivan County. Space is limited and admission to Youth Camp will be determined by a brief essay each applicant will include with their application due by June 30. Please call Harry Walker at 845/794-6752 for more information.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church is excited to announce that Katie’s Cafe, its community free lunch, is back! Join us on the first Saturday of every month from 12 noon to 1 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. This beloved tradition has been serving our community for over 10 years, and we’re thrilled to bring it back after a pause due to COVID-19. Everyone is welcome! For any questions, please contact the church office. The lunch will be held at 31 Erie Ave., Narrowsburg, NY. We can’t wait to see you there!

A Car Show sponsored by the Knights of Columbus #4478 will take place on Saturday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the St. Francis Xavier parking lot in Narrowsburg. Call Steve Skies to register at 845/252-6681

If you have a local business that you would like to be spotlighted in an upcoming column, please get in touch! Please email jenn@jennpowelldesigns.com with any news, events and happenings. Catch me online at www.everafterinthewoods.com for delicious recipes too!
