New businesses in Cochecton

Posted

It is so hard to keep up with all the new businesses that are popping up locally, and supporting our local, small businesses is so important!

Whether it is frequenting an ice cream stand, restaurants, farms or other business endeavors, keeping these businesses here and in the community is beneficial for all of us.

Recently, I went to visit the Unbroken Acres farmstand and I was pleased with the local offerings of veggies and flowers that they had available.

Unbroken Acres is located at 1118 County Rd. 114 in Cochecton, and currently they stock the farmstand Wednesday through Sunday with all their delicious offerings. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit working farm, it is dedicated to training and empowering future farmers in regenerative agriculture. The farm provides fresh produce to the community through a seasonal farmstand and customized pickups from the greenhouse.

The farm’s flower bouquets are gorgeous, and just perfect for these long summer days.

Stop by and visit, or learn more at www.unbrokenacres.org.

Stop by Cochecton Spirits, located at 54 County Rd. 114, for something different. It’s across from the Cochecton Post Office. The store offers a large selection of various local wines and spirits.

Be sure to visit www.cochectonspirits.com for the hours of operation and for more information.

Keep an eye out for upcoming events from the Cochecton Youth Commission, such as book bingo and a trip to Legoland. Like the commission on Facebook to stay on top of all the news and events it offers our children.

If you have a local business that you would like to have spotlighted in an upcoming column, get in touch. Email jenn@jennpowelldesigns.com with any news, events and happenings.
