Summer is in full swing. Don’t miss out on all the fun events and happenings!

Have a look at a few events and activities in our community and locally:

Open your heart, expand your mind and enhance your creativity through the gentle and nurturing spirit of cacao.

August 8, also known as Lion's Gate Portal, is when Sirius and the Sun come in direct alignment with Earth, bringing in a huge influx of light to our planet. This light that is pouring in magnifies our intentions and our ability to bring into our physical reality our heart's desires.

Join Pearl Zayas at Jurni Quantum Healing Center on August 8 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Pre-register for this event by phone 845/932-5113 or email jurni.healing@gmail.com. The cost is $40.

Growing Older Together presents its second annual summer fundraiser, Lavapalooza, on Saturday, August 3 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. It’s a 1950s rock-a-billy style carnival and picnic fundraiser and awareness-raising event to benefit the nonprofit Growing Older Together, on a stunning Pennsylvania hilltop under a big tent, with great food, a midway with games and live music of the era by Kingston, NY-based band Lara Hope & The Ark Tones.

The $45 admission price is all-inclusive, and includes delicious food and desserts, nonalcoholic beverages, live music, dancing, carnival games and a live auction. Children aged 10 and under are admitted free. It's a super-fun event for all ages so bring the whole family!

Mark your calendars for the Sullivan County 4-H Livestock & Product Auction at the Grahamsville Little World's Fair on Sunday, August 18! Proxy bids are due by August 12.

The preview starts at 12 noon, and the auction kicks off at 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 18. It's a day of great products that our local youth have been working on all year! For a proxy bid form or more info, please call 845/292-6180 ext. 109. Let's support our local 4-H youth and bring home some amazing goods!

Save the date! A Single Bite + Catskill Food Hub's fourth annual golf tournament is on Thursday, September 12 at Roscoe Mountain Club. Sign up your foursome or learn more about sponsorship opportunities at asinglebite.org/golf-event-2024.
