For the first time in two years, the choir will hold a Christmas concert. It will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 11 at St. John the Evangelist Church.

The “Christmas Carol” lyrics “express the joyful feeling in a season when we can raise our voices in song once more,” a choir spokesperson wrote recently.

The concert is filled with old favorites and new arrangements, such as “Silent Night,” “Joy to the World,” “The Angel’s Carol,” “Bethlehem,” and “The Holly and the Ivy.”

In addition, soloists Keith Lewis and Pip Tagle will sing, with choir backup, “in a gorgeous version of ‘O Holy Night,’” the choir member promised.

The choir is under the direction of John Propeack. “Propeack is known for challenging his choir and his audience with a wide variety of beautiful pieces of music as well as sharing his love of music with all who wish to hear,” the spokesperson wrote.
