Fix it; don’t toss it

NARROWSBURG, NY — The July Repair Café Tusten will be held on Saturday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Tusten Town Hall.

Repair Cafés are there to help get your favorite items repaired—while bringing our community together. And there’s no charge, but donations are gratefully accepted to cover costs.

Each attendee is limited to two items.

Need knives or axes sharpened? Repair Café Tusten is setting up 20-minute time slots; you are limited to two knives each. Call 845/252-6783 to schedule an appointment.

Did you put up your screens and find a hole? Cecilia can fix it. Bring the replacement screen and the spline (the cord that holds the screen in).

Should you need a particular part, such as a zipper, yarn or a three-way fixture, bring it along.

The repair café is always looking for more fixers. If you have expertise that would help others get something repaired, reach out.

If it can be carried in, the repair café volunteers will do their best to bring it back to life. They cannot fix microwaves, anything gas-powered or labeled “smart.”

Canned or boxed food donations for the Narrowsburg Food Pantry are requested.

The town hall is located at 210 Bridge St., under the Tusten Theater.
