MILFORD, PA — What environmental concerns you have seen around Pike County? What do you want to see environmental organizations working on this year, and beyond?

Bring your insights to a “listening event” to be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, at the DVA!’s Community Engagement Center, 315 Broad Street, Milford, PA.

“The environmental quality of Pike County is at the forefront of our attention and is the reason many of us have settled in this beautiful area,” says the invitation from the co-sponsors, which include the Conservation Voters of PA, SEEDS, PennFuture, and Delaware Valley Action! “This free Community Conversation is meant to be an open discussion between community members and a chance for you to get to know other advocates here in Pike County.”

The discussion will including an update on the sponsoring organizations’ current projects, the environmental issues that need to be addressed, and the steps that can be taken locally to conserve the environment and protect it from the severe weather events caused by climate change.

To sign up for the Community Conversation, visit https://action.conservationpa.org/a/pike-county-community-conversation?ms=DVA. Refreshments will be provided.

A Zoom option will be available for those unable to attend in person.

The DVA! Community Engagement Center is a space where community members, groups and organizations can meet, share ideas, and participate in a variety of activities. It is currently open for drop-ins three days a week (Monday, 11-2, Friday 1-3 and Saturday 11-2). For more information email delawarevalleyaction@gmail.com or visit www.delawarevalleyaction.org.
