Plan for Sullum’s; Honesdale addresses stormwater emergencies

HONESDALE, PA — The long-vacant building at 560 Main Street will soon have a new lease on life. At its May 6 special meeting, Honesdale Borough Council approved a liquor license transfer from Texas Township, green lighting plans to convert the former site of Sullum’s, the working man’s outfitter store, into a restaurant.

Historic railroad excursion for Mother’s Day

SCRANTON, PA — The Steamtown National Historic Site (NHS) presents a scenic ride to the Pocono foothills. On Sunday, May 12, the trip departs from NHS at 1:30 and returns at 3:30 p.m.
