MIDDLETOWN, NY — In response to recent operating losses, Garnet Health announced on July 7 that it reduced their workforce by 49 employees; that number includes 25 leaders.
Eliminated positions are non-union and no staff employees providing direct care to patients have been affected. The layoffs come alongside other efforts that have already been implemented to help mitigate losses and reduce spending. Key vendor contracts have been renegotiated, high-volume lab testing has been moved in-house at a lower cost, and workflows have been streamlined to increase provider availability and patient access, according to a statement by Garnet Health.
