HONESDALE, PA — The Women’s Health Center in Honesdale is celebrating World Breastfeeding Week, Monday, August 1 through Sunday, August 7, with an informational display about the value and benefits of breastfeeding.
This year’s theme is Step Up for Breastfeeding: Educate and Support, and that’s exactly what they’re doing. Brittany Kimble RN, IBCLC, provides virtual breastfeeding classes and in-office educational prenatal visits. As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, she assists women in achieving successful breastfeeding with their babies, encourages acceptance at businesses and organizations, and promotes safeguarding the natural and nutritional connection between mother and child.
The lobby display at the Women’s Health Center, which provides services in concert with Wayne Memorial Hospital’s New Beginnings Birthing Suites, also includes free samples for women and coloring books and crayons for children.
