NARROWSBURG, NY — Come join the Repair Café movement on Saturday, March 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Tusten Town Hall. 210 Bridge St., under the Tusten Theater.
It’s there to help get your favorite items repaired while bringing the community together, organizers wrote.
There is no charge, but donations are gratefully accepted. There’s a limit of two items per person, and if the repair requires an item like a zipper, special yarn or a lamp fixture, bring it with you if possible.
Listed below are those items for which they have repair coaches this month, but the organizers are looking for a knife sharpener, ceramics-repair person or someone who can mend shoes. There are repair coaches in place for wooden and mechanical items; lamps and other small appliances; jewelry; sewing, knitting or crocheting; window-screen repair; and garden advice.
“If you can carry it in, we’ll do our best to bring it back to life!” organizers said.
Microwaves, smart devices and gas-powered items cannot be repaired.
Repair Café Tusten asks all to bring a donation for the Narrowsburg Food Pantry—cans or boxes only.
For more information, find Repair Café Tusten on Facebook or email repaircafetusten@gmail.com
