CALLICOON, NY — Those interested can join Sullivan County’s Division of Planning and partners at Callicoon Riverside Park this summer for the Catskill Regional Invasive Species Program (CRISP).
A program of the Catskill Center for Conservation and Development, CRISP helps restore and protect native environments and is turning its attention to Callicoon’s former Upper Delaware Campgrounds, which Sullivan County is developing into its newest park.
During the Saturday workdays—which take place at the site on Creamery Road on July 8 and 15, and August 12 and 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.—CRISP will show volunteers and visitors how to identify and report invasive species, then properly remove the invasives throughout the park.
Register to ensure enough tools are available at www.catskillinvasives.com/events. Email coordinator Kate Cooper with any questions at volunteer@catskillcenter.org.

Dan Hust serves as the Sullivan County Director of Communication.
