Hello, September! It is so hard to believe we are in the first week of September, and school starts on September 7. Be sure to pay close attention to driving when the school buses are back on the road.

This coming weekend is the much-anticipated Gala Dinner in appreciation of Lake Huntington on September 9. Buy tickets online at tinyurl.com/LakeGala2023 or call 845/701-2152. All proceeds go toward supporting the lake's conservation efforts.

The Lake Huntington Fire Company is having a raffle. $20 tickets give you a chance to win every day in November, based on the 7 p.m. Daily Number “Pick 3” from the PA Lottery. See any member of the fire company for more information or to purchase tickets.

Join the Cochecton Volunteer Ambulance Corps today! Positions are available for EMTs, drivers, attendants and administrative help. To apply or learn more about joining the team, drop us a message here on Facebook or email cochectonambulanceems@gmail.com and request a membership application. Together, let's ensure the safety and well-being of our community.

Join Buck Brook Alpacas for National Alpaca Day on September 23 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. for a free event. There will be farm tours, fiber demonstrations, face painting, an obstacle course, an alpaca costume contest, refreshments and more. 

Buck Brook Alpacas is located at 12 Bestenheider Rd., Roscoe, NY.

Visit the second annual Diehl Homestead Farm Fall Festival on Sunday, October 8 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The farm is located on Diehl Road in Callicoon, NY. You’ll find beautiful fall views, delicious BBQ and family fun. There’ll be hayrides, a bouncy house, a kiddie hay maze, face painting, maple cotton candy, fresh apple cider donuts and more.
There will be craft and food vendors as well as Diehl maple, honey, pumpkins, apples, cider, garlic and more.

Vendors wanted for the annual Delaware Youth Center Holiday Craft Fair on November 24. Rental for each 2.5-foot-by-8-foot table is $30, with set-up starting at 8:30 a.m. and the sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. To reserve your table, fill out the form on the Youth Center website and pay the $30 vendor fee by October 14.
