DINGMANS FERRY, PA — On Saturday, March 2 at 1 p.m. on the Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) campus, kids aged six to 10 can join artist Pam Rice for a workshop on the wonder of bees.

Participants will learn how solitary bees use hollow stems to lay their cocoons, and will draw the different bees that call PEEC home. Kids can make a gift for the bees by upcycling a variety of objects into a bee house. All materials will be provided.

The cost is $10 per child.

On Sunday, March 3 at 1 p.m. at PEEC, kids aged 12 and up are invited to learn about winter survival.

Learn the basics of outdoor survival and weather preparedness. Build a shelter, try your hand at starting a fire, and learn other useful skills for wintertime in the outdoors.

The cost is $5 per person.

Call PEEC to register at 570/828-2319.
