Merry Christmas! I hope you had a nice holiday, spent with family and friends, and with lots of good food and conversations.

School is out this week for most students, and many of the college kids are home on their winter break as well.

New Year’s Eve is fast approaching, and if you are looking for some local fun to celebrate, be sure to check out these options!

New Year’s Eve at Kenoza Hall—Stay the weekend of December 31 and ring in the new year in style! They will be celebrating with live entertainment from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., offering late-night bites and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. Be sure to reserve a table for their special dining services: NYE celebratory pre-fixe offering on December 31, or a New Year’s Day brunch with complimentary mimosas and Bloody Marys. Learn more at www.kenozahall.com/offers.

Wear your ugly sweater and join in on the fun at the annual Happy New Year/Ugly Sweater Party at Hector’s Inn. Bring a dish to share and join in the fun! The party begins at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 1. Learn more at www.facebook.com/events/698006865269273.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Rafter’s Tavern in Callicoon, NY, from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Be sure to call ahead to all the local restaurants, to make sure they will be open for New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day. Many restaurants are changing their hours for the holiday weekend. Stay safe!
