New year, new goals

The final week of 2023! I am looking forward to ringing in the New Year. I love the beginning of the year with fresh calendars, new goals and a new outlook on the year ahead.

I always feel like it is a time to reinvent yourself, your goals and what the future holds for you. If you’ve never created a vision board for a new year, be sure to give it a try! There is something about writing down your goals and putting them out in the world to have them manifest and come true!

I hope you have a wonderful, happy and healthy New Year!

Here are a few different events taking place:

Lakeview Pizzeria & Bar will have a New Year’s Eve party on Sunday, December 31, starting at 8 p.m. $25 admission includes a buffet plus music, beer specials and fun!

Calling all Sullivan County youth between the ages of five and 18, who are interested in 4-H! 4-H Saturdays start January 13 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Come and learn about the many programs 4-H offers. The day will be filled with multiple areas that 4-H covers, including but not limited to cooking, healthy living, crafting, animal science, environmental, horticulture, community service programs and more!

Youth can choose one, two or all four activities offered throughout the day. Bring a lunch and enjoy the day!

Registration for this program is required, so sign up for a spot today by reaching out to the 4-H Youth Development Program staff.

For more information, visit sullivancce.org.

Funded by the County of Sullivan through the Sullivan County Youth Bureau. Contact the CCE Office at 845/292-6180 or email sullivan@cornell.edu to request accommodations or for questions/concerns.

Indoor archery league from January 2-February 23 at All Things Accuracy in Liberty, NY. Classes include Open, Men’s/Women’s Bowhunter and Youth. Choose either Tuesday or Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to shoot with your friends!

Can’t make it those days? League can be shot any time during open business hours. Twenty yards, Vegas 3 spot, $120 per class with prizes and award banquet!

Grab your friends, family and neighbors to rival for who is the best shot! Stop in the store to sign up by Tuesday, January 2.

If you have a local business that you would like to have spotlighted in an upcoming column, get in touch! Email jenn@jennpowelldesigns.com with any news, events and happenings.
