HAWLEY, PA — Adams Hometown Markets is set on August 1 to purchase Lake Region IGA, located just off Route 6 on 52 Welwood Avenue in Hawley.

According to a notice received by the paper as a newsstand, the store name will remain as is. Rick McElroy will be managing the physical location, and all the current teammates have been offered jobs. 

According to the Adams Hometown Markets Facebook page, the company, based in Cheshire, CT, operates 10 stores in Connecticut, two in Massachusetts, two on Long Island and one in Rhode Island. 

Serving local communities for over 20 years, Adams Hometown Markets says it stays “actively involved with local schools, fire departments, senior programs, food banks and a variety of other local clubs/organizations and continue to partner with Hometown Foundation to uplift every community we are in.”
