It’s the busiest time of the year

“Making a list and checking it twice” seems to be my motto these days. I find December to be one of the busiest months, from holiday shopping, parties and events, to school activities and winter sports that happen all month long. The days seem endless, or perhaps it is because it gets dark at 5 p.m.

“Making a list and checking it twice” seems to be my motto these days. I find December to be one of the busiest months, from holiday shopping, parties and events, to school activities and winter sports that happen all month long. Have a look at some upcoming events in and around our community.

Lakeview Pizza & Bar, located at 23 Crestwood Rd. in Lake Huntington, NY, will host a Super Bowl tailgate bash. The event takes place on February 12, 2023, starting at 5:30 p.m. Tickets cost $30 in advance or $35 at the door. The ticket price includes an all-you-can-eat buffet and an all-you-can-drink offer—keg beer only. For ticket sales or information, call Chris or Christine at 845/932-8131.

Celebrate the holiday season at Myers Century Farm with their second annual live Nativity on Saturday, December 17 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Come grab a cup of homemade hot chocolate, and meet the Jersey girls that are the core of all their delicious farm-made products.

It will be a night of awe and wonder, filled with lots of lights, music and community fellowship, all pointing to the true source of peace, hope, love and joy this season.

The live Nativity will take place at 112 Earl Myers Rd., Jeffersonville, NY.

Peace, Love & Lights” is back, better and brighter than ever before at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.

From its opening, just after Thanksgiving, and lasting until New Year’s Day, you can experience drive-through holiday winter lights on the Bethel Woods grounds from the comfort of your car.

Simply turn off your headlights and follow the magical glow. There is nothing else quite like this in the area.

This year, they will be open daily from Thursday, December 15, 2022, through Sunday, January 1, 2023.
