‘I blame Pete’s Pub!’

LAKE HUNTINGTON, NY — Peterson Toscano will share an evening of comic stories at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 20 at the Arts Nest at the Delaware Valley Opera Center.

Toscano is a playwright, actor, Bible scholar, blogger, podcaster, advocate against global warming and gay rights activist. Although not an environmentalist, he said, he was motivated to become a climate advocate because of his concerns about human rights and social justice. He has performed in comedy and comic storytelling since 2003, with shows such as “Doin’ Time in the Homo No Mo Halfway House,” “Queer 101—Now I Know My gAy, B, Cs” and “Does This Apocalypse Make Me Look Fat?” He has performed at clubs and festivals in Canada, the United Kingdom, Cameroon, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and South Africa in addition to the United States.

Toscano is from Lake Huntington, and learned the art of comedy from his parents, Pete and Anita, at Pete’s Pub. In addition to performing, he produces podcasts, radio programs and homemade Italian bread.

Peterson Toscano is donating his share of the tickets to support the Lake Huntington Lake Association.
