Honesdale’s fireworks display needs your help

HONESDALE, PA — As we gear up for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, the Greater Honesdale Partnership is calling on anyone who loves fireworks, or Honesdale, to do more than just show up and watch the show.

The fireworks display will take place on Monday, July 1.

The Honesdale Firework Display is more than just a show of lights—it’s a symbol of community pride and togetherness. It’s a time when families, friends and neighbors come together to celebrate our nation’s freedom and unity.

However, organizing such an event is no small feat, and it’s only made possible through the generosity of individuals and businesses like you. Your donation will directly support the costs associated with securing a professional fireworks display, ensuring everyone’s safety, and covering logistical expenses—such as permits.

By supporting the Honesdale firework display, you’re not just contributing to an event; you’re investing in the heart of our community. Your generosity will help create lasting memories for families and foster a sense of pride in our town.

The partnership offers various sponsorship levels. Donations will be acknowledged in event materials and on signage.

“We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Pocono Mountain Visitor Bureau for their generous support as our presenting sponsor, as well as RE/MAX Wayne, our Contributing Business Sponsor, and our esteemed community sponsors: Wallflower, Bresset & Santora LLC, Firmstone Tire & Auto Service Station, Meagher Insurance Agency, Bunnell Waste Removal, Stephen’s Pharmacy/Northeast Med-Equip, Complete Health Dentistry of NEPA, Keen Lake Camping & Cottage Resort and The Lodge at Keen Lake,” the Partnership stated. “Their steadfast dedication to our community sets an inspiring example for all.”

The support “means the world to us, and together, we can ensure that July 1, 2024, is a day to remember for all,” the organization said.

Checks can be made out to the Greater Honesdale Partnership and mailed to 32 Commerical St., Suite 3, Honesdale, Pa 18431.
