Helping Dessin Animal Shelter and hospitalized kids

Bethany 4-H Club had a busy spring

Posted

It has been a busy spring for the Bethany 4-H group. Members donated some much needed pet supplies to Dessin Animal Shelter on April 12, and welcomed a guest speaker from Dessin in May.

Our members participated in a litter pick-up on Grange Road in Honesdale, PA on April 20. We also had our yearly Wildlife and Forestry field trip on May 11 in Rock Springs, PA.

On June 1, our group enjoyed a trip to the Safari Farm Petting Zoo and learned about the variety of animals that live there. Members have been busy working on projects and entries for the upcoming Wayne County Fair as well.

The group made encouragement cards for hospitalized children and will be delivering those locally to hopefully lift their spirits.

If you’d like to join in on the adventures with your local 4H group, call the Penn State Extension Office at 570/253-5970.
