Hello, December!

Hello, December! We are moving forward in full holiday mode, and the time is moving by quickly these days. I hope you are taking time to experience the different festivities that are happening around the county.

Congratulations to Jenna Sayers of the Lake Huntington Fire Company on completing the basic exterior firefighting operations course! Thank you for all you do for our community.

Be sure to check the school calendar for holiday concert information—these children have been practicing hard to put on a great program. Currently, the middle school winter concert is Tuesday, December 13 at 7 p.m., the high school winter concert is on Thursday, December 15 at 7 p.m., and the elementary winter concert is scheduled for December 20. Support our students!

There are also numerous Sullivan West sporting events taking place each week as winter sports are in full swing. Cheer on the local teams. Check the school website for event information.

Come celebrate the holidays and the families of Sullivan West at the second annual toy drive Saturday, December 10 at the Old Foundation. Complimentary food and amazing music all night long, simply bring an unwrapped toy so the kids of our community can have a great Christmas.

Peace, Love & Lights is back, better and brighter than ever before at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts! Spanning the winter season, and beginning just after Thanksgiving and lasting until New Year's Day, you can experience drive-through holiday winter lights on the Bethel Woods grounds from the comfort of your car. Simply turn off your headlights and follow the magical glow. There is nothing else quite like this in the area. This year, they will be operating on a partial schedule through December 11, and then daily from Thursday, December 15 through Sunday, January 1, 2023. Learn more at https://www.bethelwoodscenter.org/events/peace-love-lights
