PORT JERVIS, NY — The UpFront Exhibition space will host a performance by the Blue Hearts Jazz Quartet at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19.

Admission is free—The concert is funded by the Music Performance Trust Fund, via the American Federation of Musicians Poughkeepsie Local 238-291.

The quartet consists of Myles Lino (tenor sax), Darius Beckford (piano), Alfonso Ramos (upright bass) and Kim Peralta (drums).

The players are alumni of SUNY Jazz Ensemble in Middletown and/or the SUNY New Paltz Jazz Studies Program. They are a community of jazz musicians playing in duos, trios, quartets, quintets and in larger ensembles across the Hudson River Valley and its environs. Audiences can expect music from the Great American Songbook, written by African American composers, spanning the swing through the bebop eras of modern jazz.
