Grants awarded by WCCF and its funds

WAYNE COUNTY, PA — The Board of Directors of the Wayne County Community Foundation (WCCF) approved the following grants during the final grant cycle of the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
Damascus Township Historical Society: $1,000 for signage and print material.
Dyberry Creek Music Festival: $1,000 in funding for travel, meals and expenses.
Camp Freedom LLC: $2,000 in funding to support the extended stay program.
The Salvation Army: $2,000 to support the Emergency Relief Assistance Program.
Delaware Highlands Conservancy: $8,188 for the construction of an exit driveway.
Lacawac Sanctuary Foundation: $10,000 to support the purchase of a trailer for an educational laboratory.
Farm Arts Collective: $15,000 to support construction costs of the collective’s new performance and workspace.
Effective immediately, the Wayne County Community Foundation is moving toward two grant cycles per year, with application deadlines of September 1 and March 1.

The Michael J. Bryant Memorial Fund awards grants to Wayne County citizens with disabilities or to projects by nonprofit community organizations.
This year’s recipients are:
Wayne County 4-H: $2,000 for sign language interpreters for two members.
Forest City Regional Elementary School: $2,000 for flexible seating options, noise-canceling headphones, sensory tools, and other necessary equipment.
Wayne County System of Care: $2,650 for the addition of a communication board at the Park Street Complex Playground.
Fair Hill Therapeutic Riding Center: $1,500 for a three-day summer program for up to 12 special education students from local school districts who qualify for extended school year services.
Project SEARCH: $2,500 to support various aspects of the program.
Wallenpaupack Area High School: $4,800 for after-school programming.
Dyberry Day Camp: $700 to support the cost of its annual Michael Bryant Memorial Trip.
