Go line dancing, watch the Harlem Wizards and more

Coming up, there are lots of fun things to do in and around our town. I love that there are so many activities being planned for our community. Even though it is winter, that does not mean you can’t enjoy yourself.

The Harlem Wizards are coming to town! Great fun and entertainment for all ages. The Harlem Wizards will be playing against the Sullivan West staff on Friday, February 24 at 7 p.m. at the Sullivan West campus in Lake Huntington. For tickets, visit pretix.eu/harlemwizards/lakehuntington/.

The Feburary schedule at Yoga By the Lake is live. The classes, dates and times are as follows:

Gentle Yoga to Start Your Week, Sundays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Yoga for Anxiety and Stress, Mondays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

“Bad Art,” Wednesday, online program

Restorative Yoga, Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Morning Yoga, Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Wellness retreat, Saturday, February 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Saturdays are happening at the Nutshell Hall and Delaware Valley Opera Company, located at 6692 State Rte. 52 in Lake Huntington, NY. Starting Saturday, March 4, live music will be performed every Saturday night at the Nutshell. Tickets cost $15 in advance at collaborationproduc
taions.com, or $20 on the day of the show. March 4 kicks off with Mystic Dead, with Sage Clearing.

Come try Zumba on Monday and Thursday evenings from 5:10 p.m. to 6:10 p.m. on the second floor of 17 Center St. in Jeffersonville. The fee is $10 per class.

Line dancing is coming to the Delaware Youth Center, instructed by the talented April Schmidt. The first six-week session will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays from February 15 to March 22. (A make-up day will be held on Wednesday, March 29 in case a session is canceled.) Delaware Youth Center members pay $10 per class or $30 for all six sessions. The fee for non-members is $15 per class or $50 for all six sessions. If cost is a burden, email linedancing@delawareyouthcenter.org.

Do not wear outdoor shoes! Bring your dancing shoes or boots with you.
