New members welcome

FOREST CITY, PA — The Forest City Area Historical Society (FCAHS) will meet at 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 11 at the society's headquarters at the corner of Dundaff and Main Streets.   

The FCAHS is also accepting applications for 2022 and 2023 memberships.  The society was organized on February 21, 2010 and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.  

The FCAHS encompasses Browndale, Forest City, Richmondale, Vandling and the surrounding areas.  

Memberships are for one year and may be any one of the following types: an individual membership costs $25 and a family one costs $50.  Lifetime memberships cost $150, and a student membership costs $10. There are other levels; see the website below. 

Anyone interested in joining the Forest City Area Historical Society should call Juliann Doyle, membership chair at 570/499-4908 or email jdoyle@nep.net.

Membership applications are available on the website, and should be sent to Doyle at 305 Martin St., Browndale, PA 18421.
