DKG Tau Chapter welcomes new members

JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — Recently, the Tau Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society (DKG) met for the spring dinner meeting at Michelangelo’s Restaurant and Pizzeria. Members enjoyed delicious food and fellowship.

At the meeting, the chapter inducted two new members: Fran Peters, elementary teacher at Fallsburg Central School for 17 years, and Cynthia McKay, English consultant teacher at Sullivan County BOCES in Liberty, NY for 12 years. These two teachers have dedicated a combined 53 years to teaching in Sullivan County in their present positions as well as at other schools.

Tau Chapter is honored to welcome these dedicated teachers to the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, an organization that promotes the professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education.

At this same meeting, Tau Chapter installed its new officers for the 2024-2026 biennium. Elizabeth Huggler is the president, Ericka Gamella is the first vice president, Stefanie Benjamin-Donohue is the second vice president, and the parliamentarian is Karen Crumley.

Contributed by the Tau Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma.
