Clean up the Town of Fallsburg

FALLSBURG, NY — The Town of Fallsburg is presently holding its annual fall cleanup and e-waste disposal events. The cleanup ends on Sunday, October 15 and e-waste can be disposed of until Tuesday, October 31.

During the cleanup, Fallsburg residents are encouraged to participate by bringing their approved trash items to Morningside Park, located at 11 Morningside Rd. in Hurleyville, NY. The clean-up event will run daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In addition to the Fall Clean-Up, the Town of Fallsburg is also hosting an E-Waste disposal program, which will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

Residents can bring their approved electronics to Morningside Park for proper disposal.

Town Supervisor Kathy Rappaport emphasized the importance of community involvement in maintaining a clean and sustainable environment. "The Town of Fallsburg is committed to promoting the well-being of our community and protecting our natural surroundings. Our annual Fall Clean-Up event is a wonderful opportunity for residents to come together, beautify our town, and dispose of unwanted items responsibly. We encourage everyone to participate and take pride in the place we call home."

Regarding the e-waste disposal initiative, Rappaport added, "E-waste contains hazardous materials that can harm the environment if not disposed of correctly. Our e-waste disposal program provides an easy and eco-friendly way for residents to get rid of old electronics while ensuring they are handled safely and sustainably."

Residents are reminded to review the list of approved items for both programs; the list is located on the Town of Fallsburg's official website. You can also contact the Town Hall for more information.

By participating in the Fall Clean-Up and E-Waste disposal, residents can contribute to the continued well-being of Fallsburg and protect its natural beauty, said deputy supervisor Dr. Sean Wall-Carty.
