LAKE HUNTINGTON, NY — New York City-based singer-songwriter Andrea Wittgens returns to Sullivan County for an evening of acoustic songs at The Nest on Saturday, December 2 from 8 to 10 p.m.
Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada, Andrea's songs are described as “little pieces of cinema, moving effortlessly from stark to technicolor.”
She'll be joined by guest vocalist Lena Kaminsky and will perform songs from her upcoming full-length album as well as fan favorites from past releases.
A sampling of Andrea's lyric art ("Southpaw Ink") will be on display and available for purchase at the show.
The album (no title yet released) was recorded in Joshua Tree with vocal producer Ainjel Emme (John Legend, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs). She is also finishing an EP of solo piano recordings from live sessions in Milwaukee as well as an album with Atlanta rock darlings The Steady Wicked. Lastly, Andrea recently teamed up with artists Kate Vargas and Eric McFadden to score the short film “Little Mouse,” which premiered at the Dances With Films Festival in December of 2022 and won the Audience Choice award.
