HURLEYVILLE, NY — On June 1, the Aktion Club of Sullivan County held its first annual Spring Fling Dance at the Barn at The Center for Discovery. “Enchanted Forest” was the theme, and the dress code was semi-formal. Everyone came in their best outfits.
Those in attendance danced the night away to the tunes played by the DJ and even enjoyed doing the electric slide.
The club is a community service leadership group co-sponsored by the Kiwanis Clubs of Monticello and Woodridge. Adults living with disabilities have an opportunity to develop the initiative and leadership skills to serve the community.
The Aktion Club of Sullivan County is composed of individuals from the Greater Hudson Valley Arc, New Hope Community and The Center for Discovery.
