HAWLEY, PA — Forever Simon & Garfunkel will celebrate the rock ’n’ roll duo’s history at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 19 at Harmony in the Woods. Sean Altman and Jack Skuller will lead the audience through Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel’s musical careers.
Tickets cost $35; the link to purchase them is below.
On Saturday, July 20 at 6 p.m., the Adam Ezra Group takes the stage at Harmony with a fusion of folk, rock, soul and pop.
The band, composed of Adam Ezra, Corinna Smith (fiddle), Alex Martin (drums) and Poche Ponce (bass) regularly performed hundreds of shows a year for the past two decades without any major label or mainstream radio support.
They quickly garnered acclaim for songwriting and euphoric performances.
Tickets cost $35.
And on Sunday, July 21 at 5:30 p.m., Harmony hosts “Kansas City Jazz: Eddie Durham’s World of Swing,” a benefit concert for WVIA Media.
A romping, stomping seven-piece band will be there to celebrate the legacy of Eddie Durham, the man behind one of the most quintessential hits of the 20th century, Glenn Miller’s “In The Mood.” He was also part of the original Count Basie band.
Until the recent WVIA documentary—now showing on over 250 public television stations—Eddie Durham’s story was relatively unheralded.
Purchase tickets for any or all three shows at www.harmonyinthewoods.org/upcoming-events.
Harmony in the Woods is located at 19 Imagination Way.
