YOUNGSVILLE, NY — Want to paint outside? On Monday, August 21, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Cutting Garden, you can choose between an open sketch or a two-hour workshop and learn the basics of outdoor sketching or painting.

The lessons take you from composition to materials set-up and handling for working in pastels, watercolor or oil.

General admission costs $10, the plein air two-hour workshop costs $25 and there is an extra charge for the bouquet-to-go workshop. Supplies are not included.

The Cutting Garden is located at 1055 State Rte. 52.
