MILFORD, PA — The ARTery Gallery presents Carol Ann Lyons and Marie Liu in its final featured exhibit of the season; a reception will be held on Saturday, October 14 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Titled “Water is Life,” the exhibit celebrates water in its many forms. Both artists have focused much of their art on the many mannerisms and metaphoric qualities of water.

Lyons explores water with printmaking processes, using the characteristics of the sea and the world within it to describe life’s journey; she says she believes that protecting water is vital.

Liu has an affinity for Pocono rivers, creeks and waterfalls. Capturing these images in oil paint, she endeavors to relay the spiritual healing found through water. 

A timely theme, the gallery notes, as 90 percent of the exceptional quality waterways in PA are located here in the Pocono Region and the battle to protect them continues today as it has since the industrial revolution. 

The exhibit will be on display from Thursday, October 12 to Monday, November 6.
