Sharing the discussion will be photographer Christopher Makos.
Haring left his mark on the art world during his short life, beginning with the crawling babies and barking dogs that Gooch first saw in New York’s Soho. Gooch, a poet, novelist and biographer, is the author of 10 books, including biographies of Flannery O’Connor, Frank O’Hara and Rumi.
That day, the Milford Theater will feature three additional events:

2:15 p.m.: Delve into history and the subject of treason with Jack Kelly, author of “God Save Benedict Arnold” and “The Edge of Anarchy.” He’ll be on stage with Brian Carso, lawyer, historian and author of “Gideon’s Revolution: The Plot to Capture Benedict Arnold.”
3:45 p.m.: Explorer Richard Wiese will talk about his travels and his book, “Born to Explore: How to Be a Backyard Adventurer” with Megan Smith-Harris, a playwright and documentary film producer.
All Main Stage programs will include a Q&A with the authors. Book signings by mainstage authors will be at the theater following the panels.
On Saturday evening, there will be a private reception with festival speakers, open only to festival pass-holders.
