SCRANTON, PA — All can take an evening train ride on Saturday, August 19 to historic Carbondale for an end-of-summer celebration at the annual Pioneer Nights celebration. The excursion takes place from 3:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
It’s packed with food, fun, a parade and music, organizers said.
The train ride will last approximately two hours and departs Steamtown at 3:30 p.m.
The ride costs $25 for adults aged 12 to 61, $23 for seniors aged 62-plus, $18 for youth aged three to 11, $1 for children from birth to age two, and there is a $1 cancellation fee per ticket.
