SOUTH FALLSBURG, NY — The Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop will present The 10 Minute Play Festival for two weekends, beginning on Friday, September 8 at 8 p.m. at the Rivoli Theatre.
The show will run eight different 10-minute plays each weekend.
Produced and directed by Harold Tighe with directors Constance Slater. Teri Schwartz, Keith Prince, Alberto Santiago, Josh Rosengrant, Grace Summa, Harold Tighe and Amanni Sitz, The 10 Minute Play Festival offers two weekends of original plays written by playwrights local and beyond.
Lynne Porter, Mike Vreeland and Harold Tighe are the local playwrights. Other playwrights are from Oregon, Washington, New York City, Florida, Maryland, Indiana, Texas and Illinois.
Each weekend will feature a different set of plays—none longer than 10 minutes.
The selections range widely in tone and topic—from comedy and drama, doomsday sci-fi and moral dilemma to political satire and romance both real and imaginary.
Performances will take place on Friday and Saturday, September 8 and 9, and 15 and 16 at 8 p.m. There are also two Sunday performances, at 2 p.m. on September10 and 17.
The theatre is located at 5243 Rte. 42 (Main Street).
General admission costs $15 for adults; it costs $12 for seniors aged 60-plus, students with valid ID, members of the military and veterans.
