HURLEYVILLE, NY — The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office hosted Movie with the Sheriff recently. Local children joined Sheriff Mike Schiff, his staff and two Paw Patrol characters—Marshall and Skye—at the Hurleyville Performing Art Centre (HPAC) to watch the premiere of the movie “Paw Patrol: The Mighty.”
Also on hand was Catskill Animal Rescue (CARE), which partnered with the sheriff’s office and brought an exhibit and a puppy named Cricket to the theater.
After the movie, each child was presented with a Paw Patrol coloring book.
“Law enforcement is more than making arrests and writing tickets,” said Schiff. “Our community outreach programs such as Coffee with the Sheriff, Skate with the Sheriff and Shop with a Cop seek to build trust and mutual respect with the community we serve.”
The sheriff thanked the staff at HPAC for their support with the evening’s event and announced that Cricket, the puppy, was adopted the next morning from the shelter in Liberty.
