SHANDELEE, NY — The opening concert of the Shandelee Music Festival’s 30th anniversary season will reunite two audience favorites—violinist Misha Keylin and pianist Ilya Kazantsev for an Evening of Chamber Music at 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 5 at the Sunset Concert Pavilion.

It will be followed on Thursday, August 10, by “An Evening of Piano” with Fei-Fei. That performance also takes place at 8 p.m. at the pavilion.

Keylin debuted at Carnegie Hall when he was 11 years old. In 2011, Keylin became a founding member of the Hermitage Piano Trio with pianist Ilya Kazantsev and cellist Sergey Antonov. After signing to a multiple album recording deal with Reference Recordings, the trio’s debut CD was released in June 2019.

Kazantsev has been hailed as “virtually flawless” by the Washington Post. He’s performed in Russia, Germany, Japan, Italy, France, Canada, the U.S., and he’s won numerous awards, including first prize at the Nikolai Rubinstein International Competition in Paris.

“An Evening of Chamber Music” with Misha Keylin and Ilya Kazantsev will feature music by Mozart, Bartok, Saint-Saens, Franck and others.

Tickets cost $35 for adults, $30 for Shandelee Music Festival members and $10 for students 17 and under.

The second concert of the season will be presented at 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 10 at the Sunset Concert Pavilion, and will feature “An Evening of Piano” with Fei-Fei, a winner of the Concert Artists Guild Competition and a top finalist at the 14th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.

Fei-Fei has performed solo and chamber recitals in 11 U.S. states, as well as at Lincoln Center, with California’s Pacific Symphony and more.

The Sunset Concert Pavilion is located at 442 J. Young Rd.

Advanced reservations are requested. Call 845/439-3277, or purchase your tickets and get more information about membership and sponsorships online at www.shandelee.org.
