LIBERTY, NY — Rolling V sold its 50-year-old school bus company last week to Beacon Mobility.
Rolling V has long been a target of acquisition by large national school bus operators due to its stellar reputation, said its former owners, the Vallone and DeSabato families, in a statement announcing the sale, which was finalized on November 1.
The owners said nothing will change. “Rolling V is what it is today because of its people,” per their statement. “The drivers, monitors, mechanics, safety, and management team will all stay in place and continue to be led by the father son duo, Phil and Nick Vallone. What Beacon mobility will bring is a new set of resources and network of other recent and future acquisitions in New York and throughout the country.”
“The stars aligned, and the time was right, we expect the partnership with Beacon to bridge good opportunities for all of our people,” said Nick Vallone.
Beacon Mobility operates 23 local transportation companies in 25 states.
