Remembering Ann O’Hara, learning the history of Hawley and more

WHITE MILLS, PA — The Thomas Kennedy Local History Festival will be presented by the Local History Roundtable beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 23 at the Dorflinger Factory Museum.
History programs and local history books will be for sale beginning at 10 a.m., a program titled “Northeastern Pennsylvania in 3D” will be presented by local historian John Revak starting at 10 a.m., a remembrance of local historian Ann O’Hara and her contributions to local history preservation will begin at 12 noon, and at 1:30 p.m. Wayne County Historian Peter Becker will present his latest volume on the history of Hawley.
“The History of Hawley, Volume II” will be available for purchase.
The roundtable is a forum of the historical societies of northeastern Pennsylvania.
The museum is located at the intersection of Elizabeth Street and Route 6.
Free guided tours of the museum will take place at 11:15 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Parking is available next to the museum.
