WEST TRENTON, NJ — The Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) has proposed a rule change that would allow more decisions by administrative staff and less opportunity for the public to participate.
The executive director already makes many crucial decisions without public input or a vote by the DRBC commissioners, including whether a change to a project will open it up for a more robust review, what is required in project applications and whether to grant a permit extension, some for up to five additional years.
A public hearing will be held on Monday, November 13, 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Register to speak at the public hearing at bit.ly/3FMFqgQ.
Written comments, due November 30, can be submitted through the DRBC system at bit.ly/3sl4PLs.
