Paula Elaine Kay nets Trooper PBA nod

Posted

Paula Elaine Kay has received the  endorsement of the New York State Troopers Police Benevolent Association. “It is with careful consideration that the NYSTPBA is endorsing Paula Kay for election to the New York State Assembly, District 100. The NYSTPBA is confident that Paula Kay is the best  candidate.”

“I understand the critical role that New York State Troopers play in keeping our residents, roadways and property safe,” Kay said. “I am committed to improving the 100th District’s out-of-control opioid crisis, addressing critical public safety concerns, and giving our judges the discretion they need to do their jobs. I pledge  to ensure that the New York State Troopers receive the necessary funding,  training and equipment to keep themselves safe and enhance public safety.”

Kay graduated from Wesleyan University and Brooklyn Law School. An attorney, for 30 years Kay worked for the New York City Council and state and local governments. As a town prosecutor, she prosecuted thousands of traffic and vehicle violations and worked with hundreds of state troopers. She lives with her husband Jonathan Drapkin in Rock Hill, where they raised their two children.

More than 7,000 active and retired, uniformed members of the New York State  Police from the rank of Trooper through the rank of Major are represented by the NYSTPBA.
