NEW PALTZ, NY — The Wallkill River Watershed Alliance invites the public to come out and enjoy the Wallkill River on a two-hour paddle Thursday, August 17 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.; the launch will be at Sojourner Truth Park. 

The paddle will be to the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail Bridge and back.  

Show up with your boat by 5 p.m., or reserve a boat from New Paltz Kayaking at  845/594-6353. There is a $10 suggested donation for boat rentals. 

In case of inclement weather, this event will be canceled.
