HURLEYVILLE, NY — Joseph LeDoux might not be Buckaroo Banzai of cult movie fame—he’s not a test pilot or a physicist and he doesn’t fight aliens—but the parallel is kind of there: In “Neuroscience & Emotions: The Life, Work & Music of Dr. Joseph LeDoux,” LeDoux’s life, work and music are spotlighted. The film will be screened at the Hurleyville Performing Arts Centre (HPAC) on Friday, August 11 at 6 p.m.
Afterward, LeDoux and musician Colin Dempsey will play songs by the Amygdaloids. Billed as “Neuroscience meets Rock & Roll,” the group began as a group of scientists, including LeDoux.
Then LeDoux and director Kurt Feldhun will take questions.
Tickets can be purchased for $10 at hurleyvilleartscentre.org/neuroscience-emotions/.
