Oliver King reads Langston Hughes’ poetry

NARROWSBURG, NY — In honor of Black History Month, the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA) welcomes actor G. Oliver King to perform a selection of Langston Hughes’ poetry—as Hughes himself might have done—at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 24 in the Krause Recital Hall.

King’s approach as an actor and performer allows him to embody the persona of the literary giant of the Harlem Renaissance, a DVAA spokesperson said.

King has previously performed as Frederick Douglass and recited the iconic “I Have a Dream” speech by Martin Luther King throughout the region.

The event is part of DVAA’s Salon Series. It is free and open to the public.

The recital hall is located on the second floor of the DVAA, 37 Main St.
