Phyllis Marie Comiskey, formerly of Highland Lake, NY, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2022 with her children by her side. She would have turned 88 on November 13. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband and best friend, Donald. Phyllis and Donald met atop Mills’ Hill in Highland Lake, NY during their teens; and their love story lasted for 64 years. A beautiful life together took them to Queens, Huntington, Highland Lake and finally to Peachtree City, GA, where both lived out their final years surrounded by their children and grandchildren.

Phyllis’s passion for bridge, golf and poker forged countless friendships during her full life. She loved to celebrate her family by throwing parties, she loved to dance, and sometimes (if we were really lucky) she’d stand on her head during those celebrations. Her fondest memories, however, were spent with her grandchildren, decorating Christmas trees and Easter eggs, family dinners, and a vast array of countless memorable activities.

Phyllis is survived by her loving children Donna and David Loeffler of Hilton Head, SC; Philip (Willie) and Monique Comiskey of Peachtree City, GA; Karen and Dan Harrington of Hilton Head; and her pride and joys, the grandchildren: Shaelyn (Comiskey) and USN LTJG Chipper Machemehl of wherever the Navy takes them; Clara Comiskey of Myrtle Beach, SC; Daniel Harrington of Hilton Head; and Colin Comiskey of Peachtree City.
