WILLIAM 'BILL' JOSEPH ARNOLD JR.

Bill was born in Queens, NY on August 21, 1947 and passed away May 21, 2021. He was proud of his service to his country as a U.S. Marine who served in Vietnam. He went on an odyssey that took him all over the country. He reveled in meeting and engaging with people from all walks of life. Bill was a pioneer in computer programming. His career included NY Telephone, Avis, Sloan Kettering, Candle and IBM/Prodigy, leading to him embarking on his own as a software developer entrepreneur creating LTRSHOP Mailing Systems and H2Office Solutions.

Everyone who knew Bill loved his company. You could talk to him about pretty much anything. His honesty and great sense of humor always made him a pleasure to be around. He brought so much joy and laughter to all that had the pleasure of knowing this spectacular person. Bill will be most reminded for his kind heart and gentle spirit.

He is survived by his stepfather, Jack Goodman, of Floral Park, NY.

He always said he was one of the luckiest people alive because he had great children: Gina Arnold; Kristin Lockwood and her husband, Brett; Justin Arnold and his wife, Rachel; and his stepdaughter, Jennifer Norberto.

He is survived by his brothers: Robert and his wife, Sandra, from Dunedin, FL; Jimmy Cacioli and his wife, Janice, of Selden, NY; John of Floral Park, NY; and his late brother Michael Cacioli. He was a loving grandfather of Joey, Katrina, Gia, Dylan, Levi, Landon, Leah, Dani and Aubri; great-grandfather of Noa and Stella; and beloved uncle to Michael and Steven.

He is predeceased by his son, Danny, and his parents, William Joseph Arnold Sr. and Dorothy (Ruth) Goodman.

Rest in peace, Bill. We will miss you.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Harrison Rasmussen Funeral Home in Barryville, NY (845/557-8010).
