GRAHAMSVILLE, NY — Allen Frishman, plumber and raconteur, will give a talk at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 27 at Time and the Valleys Museum.

Titled “More Borscht from a Catskill Mountain Plumber,” the talk will highlight Frishman’s new book of the same name. It describes the times the baby boomer generation had growing up in the region.

That era is described as the period of the Jewish exodus from city heat to country-cool air. Learn about the rare Catskill phenomenon Jewish lightning, Mendel’s Mansion and, of course, the Woodstock Festival.

The museum is located at 332 Main St.

The cost of the program is free for members and $5 for non-members. It includes light refreshments and museum admission. Books will be available for signing and sale.

To join the program virtually, register by email at info@timeandthevalleysmuseum.org and put Borscht Talk in the subject line, or call 845/985-7700 at least three hours before the program.
