MONTICELLO, NY — All are invited to a senior resource fair hosted by the Sullivan County Office for the Aging (OFA) on Wednesday, October 25.
“We want to make this day informative and fun, not just something we’re legally required to do,” said director Lise-Anne Deoul.
The day launches with a public hearing at 10 a.m. in the county government center’s hearing room. The OFA will explain the state-required plan for 2024, and seniors (aged 55-plus) are welcome to weigh in. All comments will be reviewed and recommendations incorporated into the plan, according to the OFA.
When the public hearing ends, the county’s emergency management office will explain preparedness, and the Senior Action Council will discuss scams and frauds.
The lobby at the government center will host a senior resource fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Refreshments will be served after 11:30 a.m.
The Sullivan County Government Center is located at 100 North St
