FALLSBURG, NY — A community-driven initiative has made a significant impact by providing essential food supplies to over 100 people.
The Pop-Up Food Pantry, launched on May 30, aimed to ensure that no member of the community went hungry.
The next food pantry pop-up will be held at River Valley Estates on Thursday, July 27 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon, or while supplies last.
River Valley Estates was formerly known as Foxcroft Village.
The food pantry was a collaboration of town administration, the Hudson Valley Food Bank, Greater ARC Hudson Valley, River Valley Estates and Fidelis Care.
Supervisor Kathy Rappaport expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support received from the community, saying, “We are incredibly grateful to our partners... for their collaboration and unwavering commitment to fighting food insecurity. Together, we have made a significant difference in the lives of over 100 individuals and families who rely on our support. This initiative reflects the true spirit of community and compassion that exists within the Town of Fallsburg.”
