It is official—there are only a few weeks left of summer before school starts. We are trying to soak up as much as possible of the sunshine before our schedules become packed with school activities and sporting events.

Here are some events that are happening this week:

The Cochecton Volunteer Ambulance Corps has started a monthly program of health and wellness, which is held monthly on the third Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. This week, Thursday, August 15 at the Cochecton Volunteer. Ambulance Corps building, BINGO will be played and it is open to the public. It's a good time to meet the members who serve their community and ask questions.

The Lake Huntington Lake Association 2024 Gala is coming up on September 7. Tickets will be available soon.

One of the highlights of this event has been the video showcasing our neighbors and their families sharing what they love about the lake, their favorite memories, and expressing their gratitude. If you'd like to send in a clip (no longer than two minutes), please email it to JodiSibilia@gmail.com for inclusion in the video for this year's gala.

The Grahamsville Little World’s Fair is happening August 16-18 in Neversink, NY. Many of our local 4-H children will be showcasing their project animals and still exhibits that they have been working on all year.

During the fair there will be an artisan market where the local 4-H youth will be selling their crafts, artwork and more inside the still exhibit barn.

The annual 4-H Livestock & Product Auction will take place on Sunday, August 18. Preview starts at 12 noon and the auction bidding starts at 1 p.m. Support our 4-H youth.
